On the island we occasionally have local craft markets and I love participating in them. It is fun to see what everyone else is creating and it is a good opportunity to earn some money to buy more fabrics ! Below are examples of the wall hangings, bowls and table runners I have sold at the craft markets.

Sand dollar and sea glass wall hangings |
These wall hangings are simply designed to really show off the beauty of the sand dollars and the sea glass. This is a simple block design alternating sea glass and sand dollars. The colours reflect the aqua blue of the Bahamian sea. I pick up most of the sea glass on the beaches while out walking with my family and we find the sand dollars when we snorkel in the shallow sea. Some of the hangings are tied onto driftwood which we also find washed up onto the beach. I sell these at local craft fairs for between US$60 and US$120 depending on the size. |

| Fabric bowls |
|
These are made using Androsian fabric
which is 100% cotton fabric hand batiqued at a factory on the island of
Andros, here in the Bahamas. They can be used for keeping jewelry in, a gift basket to be filled with toiletries or chocolates. Prices on request.

| Table runners |
|
The table runners are also made out of
Androsia. I used a flip and sew method, sewing the strips directly onto
the batting and backing. The same technique is used to make placemats.
They wash really well and look cheerful in a table setting. Prices on request.
